{Book Review} Funky Lunch
Wow! We really took some unexpected time off for the holidays, but now we're back and ready to kick off a great new year! Just in time for the new year, as kids are going back to school after their holiday breaks, comes a book review we are so excited about! No, we're not getting paid for this, and we weren't contacted by the company to review the product, we bought it over the holidays to jazz up our own lunches and wanted to share it with you!
If you are looking for a fun to spruce up your kids lunch- this is your answer. I just ordered Funky Lunch, Happy Foods for Happy Children by Mark Northeast.
The author takes simple sandwiches and turns them into monkeys, pigs, rockets, ice cream cones, and much much more.
The only tools you need happen to be things you already have in your kitchen such as a sharp knife, vegetable peeler, apple corer, and circle cutters (which included a multitude of things in your kitchen drawer such as tips for cake decorating, glasses, a shot glass). How easy is that?
Most recipes include bread and a sandwich filling of your choice.
You decorate with carrots, cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, grapes and the list goes on depending on the recipe. My favorite sandwich is the giraffe and I can't wait to try it out. Please share your own sandwich pics with us, we can't wait to see what you come up with!
